Good weekend folks, as usual!! Great to meet some old members and new!! :)

I'll say nothing about the 1/4 mile trying to get some traction, and I'll say even less about Shane strategically placing a wall right in front of my car!!

Thanks for the helmet elaine!!

Yeah guys, great meet. Such a pity about the weather, and especially for the quarter mile, looked very tough out there.
Great to see ye all, I'll get some pics up soon,

Great seeing all you guys again, Nice to meet scottledeuce and power for the first time.

Thanks to Optical for the Neurofen, Seb for the help stripping the car (for all the good that did...) to Shane for letting us into his house and organising the B&B and BBQ, to Kruiser for keeping us updated on the event, and to Peter in Sleek for being so flexible, and special thanks to everyone who came out and represented the club.

Nice one Topcat,
I'm not even going to comment on traction, the drive home was tricky enough alone with bald tires and flooded roads.

Was a good first meet though and I enjoyed the quarter mile or half a quarter mile regardless, I think I may take a trip to enniskillen yet,

I'll try and invest in a helmet for myself first, Thanks again for the loan Seb.

Just add to this - a big big thanks to everybody who showed up to represent the club - fantastic to see so many faces even if the weather wasn't really great.

Thanks to Colm for doing all the arranging and a great big thanks also to MyFeckin' for being the super-BBQ-host once more..

It was great seeing you all again..I got some pretty good footage from the day, I hoping to be able to finish the editing next weekend :-)

Nice pics, it looks like it was a great meet, I still feel bad I could not make it.
Was the show smaller than last year? I can see many empty spaces there.
And what happened in the 1/4 mile race?

the lenght of the track was changed during the day so 2 ftos rang 350m and two ran 1/8th of a mile..

as such we can't really compare times... In any case the times gotten this year would be well below what cars/drivers are actually capable of as the condition were somewhat damp to say the least..

Even with traction control firmly in the on position it was difficult to get a good start so I can't even imagine what it was like in the FTOs.

Suffice to say that it was a good day, and very definetely a good positive experience.. I think more people will jump at the chance of getting on the strip next time it comes around.. :-)

Are they gonna be able to save that bumper?
Def keep the canards!

BTW - the wall at the corner of my house will from now on be forever known as "Daves corner".

And all silly forum accidents will be called - "doing a Dave"!

Yeah should be able to save it alright, he was of the opinion that as long as nothing was missing he'd be able to sort it out so that's reassuring, still undecided about the canards though!!!

Lucky I'm not of a sensitive disposition... doing a dave!! Quality!!

As for the canards, personally I'd keep them. That is a really sweet.. sorry was, a really sweet bumper.

Nice work Bernard

I should have asked some of those ladies to give mine a wash after the 1/4.

Big thanks to Shane and Colm for all their work, I probably wouldn't have made it otherwise.
