Fuel

I just saw on a site that the FTO doesnt take normal unleaded fuel. This is hardly true is it? What type of petrol is the best to put into it?

No, not true at all or we'd all be screwed! Ideally the FTO would prob run best on either 98 or 100 octane (can't remember which, whatever it is they have in japan) but the ECU adjusts according to whatever you give it.

It's say F-1 on the inside of my petrol lid ..and as far as I remember that what they call 100RON fuel in Japan (HAI!)..
But yeah - as Kev says - the ECU adjusts accordingly..so happy days... OF course if you get hold of a tankful of 100RON fuel car is supposed to run smoother...Haven't tried it yet myself..

I'm sure Myfecking or CJ has...

I ran on 99RON for the 1/4 mile - well actually for the last few weeks.

They were also selling 20litre drums of 114 RON at the Racecourse on Sunday.

FTO runs best on 100RON - though you could probably raise this for short periods like a 1/4 mile.
