hard on the road

My fto is very hard on the road its been lowered (before i bought it)
if i go back to standard shocks will it make a big difference?
i know it wont look as nice

Depends how it has been lowered - if its on coilovers then its gonna be much more comfortable going to new dampers and springs.

A few of us on this site switched to KYB dampers and aftermarket springs - best of both worlds IMO - FTO looks lowered,has improved handling and is still quite comfortable.

Also check your bushes and droplinks etc - a bit of a suspension overall could make a very big difference to your FTO.

have you got a set of Tein coilovers, i have them on my car now and its very hard on the road unlike my last fto with just lowering springs.
it will make a big difference but i would not go back to standard

could i go with just the kyb shocks

What wheels have you on there? When I lowered & put on the kyb shocks I didn't notice much of a difference in ride quality. It was when I went from 16" to 17" wheels I noticed the main difference. Less rubber between me and the road.
