VRT now were going to get screwed even more

Postby Daz » Fri Apr 25, 2003 9:56 am

Driving to work this morning i was listening to the radio and there was a car ad on it and they were talking about buying a car now for a good deal before the VRT is increased. What is it with this government isn't it bad enough that they are already screwing us with this illegal tax but now they are going to increase it as well  :x  :x

I swear i heard it on the radio today, it's because no-one has chalanged them to get rid of it and the EU are turning a blind eye to the fact that they are still doing it (probably a back hander in there somewhere)

I think that the VRT was increased for 2.0L cars only, could be wrong but I remember that being the case at the last budget. That's why there was a bit more of a push for 1.8L cars in the last few months. Car companies are trying to do something about it in terms of pricing but not sure how.

As for Supra's. Yeah was beside a white one there on Wednesday morning. Put me in my place I tell you. I love my FTO but I don't think it could take on a 3.0L Supra unfortunately.
