From what I can see, the resistor pack is usually connected to the firewall, but I couldn't see one when I checked my own car. Google "mitsubishi resistor pack" to see what I mean and select "images". It can't be far away from the matrix. You could always call mitsi....or ask a garage to show you, if they think they will get a bit of work from it. Tell them you want to source the part and ask them them to show it to you. :D

I googled that ... but nothing really conclusive that I could see ... under the glove box? I will have a wee look tomorrow and see what I can see ... for now full blast heating will have to do!

Thanks

That's dual zone you're thinking of.

Do you have a digital screen above the stereo for the heater with buttons, or is it 3 knobs?

Ha. And there I thought they were all the same. I have only seen the ones that have one knob. Digital screen and buttons included. That was on the GS, my bro had, the two GR's I had and the GPX I have now. One knob in a car is more than enough :P

Hi, I replaced the small gold box under the glove held on with 1 screw but still no joy? I wonder if it was the right thing that I replaced? Or could there be another issue?

Hi again,

Still can't get this heating to work properly .. the heating works fine in donor car so started swapping parts over .. resistor pack is fine, the control unit works ... so I reckon it's something to do with one of those big "box" things behind the glove box lol ... Also how do you remove the dash it's pretty stubborn.

Any ideas what part could be causing this issue?

Cheers!

Problem fixed, was the black "cooler" unit box between the blower and the matrix that was faulty, thanks for the help man! :)
