Anyone got an super-automatic coffee maker?

Postby CJ » Wed Jun 20, 2007 10:57 am

I thinking of buying whats called a 'super-automatic' coffee maker, this is a fully automated 'bean to cup' solution in that it grinds yer beans and makes up to 10 different types of hi quality coffee at the touch of a button. the only problem with such machines is that they're pricey, you're talking 500 euro for an entry level unit.

Anyone got one, if so, how do you rate it?

You're a kept man by the sounds of things, how reliable is your coffee maker? Ever break down? ;)

The coffee maker has its moments allright, but is always good for the quickie espresso after a hard day at the office

I prefer to have control of the process. that way I can decide what brand of coffee I want and how strong I make the espresso. It's worth the extra work for good coffee.

I take your point pergau, I know that the would be baristas out there swear by a manual or semi-automatic machine. My problem is time, and the lack of it - being able to push a button on a box and have it grind beans and deliver up cafe quality espresso in a minute and a half is pretty appealing!
