seems fairly cheap for a 99 twin turbo, were these always priced lower than the fto? or is it just the way the market is at the moment?

Bit suspect if you ask me, private seller too and 2 pics of an MR2 in there? Potential to be a scam. A GTO is worth much more than that, especially the TT version. I would have thought double that at least, not far off a Supra price slightly lower maybe.

The GTO looks nice, but it's way too heavy, apparently not very good and unloved in general. In the current climate I'd say you couldn't give such a car away. It does seem like a resonable price, not so low as to be a scam though.
I'm 99% sure I know that MR2, there can't be that many 98 CE white beams MR2's knocking about the place.

Doesn't smell like a scam to me. While the GTO TT is no NSX - On the face of it thats a LOT of performance car for your money - its a twin turbo, manual and facelift version of the GTO to boot. If I was in the market for a 7K peformance car right now - I'd def be taking a look.

The problem is its impossible to sell a large capacity sports car in todays economic climate for virtually any money. Its not even really about the asking price - its the cost to run (fuel,tax,insurance,maintenance etc etc).

what type of scam would you be talking about? that the car is from chop shop or something? i wouldn't be to informed on some of the scams they have going these days except the one where they send you a cheque for too much!

Not sure what you mean by "stupid" Dan?
The GTO TT is 4WD and 4WS AFAIK - the technology used may detract a little from the driving experience (and add weight) but its still quite a capable performance car albeit more from the "muscle" than "lightweight special" type of performance car.

I had the TT facelift version some years back and have to say it was a beauty.
4wd and 4 wheel steering. Extremely juicy what driven hard.

If that's aimed at me, what I mean is there's nothing "stupid" about a car with 4 wheel steering, 4 wheel drive, active aerodynamics and over 300bhp.
It's a much better proposition than turbocharging an FTO, in fact it's what you should be driving!

they even come in black-and-white!
