Upgradesto rear brakes?

Postby Sgt_Major » Sat May 14, 2011 10:24 pm

Need new pads & discs on rear, might as well look at my options to upgrade??

Running a GR with gpx front brakes, any options known for the rear?

Would it be possible to fit gpx front brake discs /calipers onto the rear of my GR?

Not a hope. I would concentrate on getting good pads on the rear and stick with the standard caplipers. Overly improved braking at the rear without compensating at the front may create an imbalance during hard braking.

Upgrading rear brakes on a front wheel driving car is pointless,in my opinion though.Get some good pads and rotors and you should be fine.

Yeah.

It needs discs and pads, just passed the handbrake test at last mot by 5% so needed done soon anyway.

Standard discs + good pads it is then.

Consider refacing as well if necessary (warps) so as not to waste your new pads.
