Lovely FTO overall - Really like the kit esp front and side views.
Not really liking the paint match though.

Overall a nice car, not liking the bits circled, although the centre panel is a nice idea. paint isn't right, the rest of the car may need a resto job maybe.

Not picking holes or anything :D but the DC side skirts look like they're off a jeep or something when theyre not blended in.

Ive set the side skirts up to be blended actually, just cant afford it just yet. Youll notice the side skirts are a 3 piece. This will allow the panels and everything to be removed after it has been blended.

Not sure i get what you mean - surely if you blend it regardless of whether or not its one piece or 3 pieces it'll all be filled/moulded into one piece.

Theres a lot of work getting this skirt blended - been down this road myself before -

Actually cut the tops of the DC skirt to acheive this look-

LOVE the look of the front of this car. Rear bumper is pretty cool too. Some other parts aren't exactly how I'd have it, but its all personal taste, so no offense intended. And by the sounds of it, its still a work in progress anyway, so keep up the good work, its a great unique looking car. :ll

Thanks for the comments

No. The problem I had with just moulding the skirt right on is that the moment you do that, you can say goodbye to ever getting the front quarter panel off ever again without destroying something. Thought about this for a while and in the end, the 3 piece is what I came up with. The bits that curve up at the front and back of the skirt are separate pieces and they will be belnded into the front and rear quarters when I get a little more cash. This means that the lower portion of the sideskirt (the bit that runs under the doors) will still be removable, which means that the front quarters will still be able to be removed from the car if necessary (a lot of rough roads over here, so putting a rock (or wombat) or something through the lower portion of the skirt is not out of the question). I love how yours looks by the way. Hopefully mine will look similar to that not too far down the track.

As to the paint blend, not really wrapped with that myself (although the sections that havent been painted need a polish to bring the whiter colour out). Will probably end up getting a full respray a little later as well.

If I could get an opinion or 2. Should I get the pods in the sideskirts and on the lower portion of the front bar done in grey as well? If I did, would look something like the picture below (photoshop)

Thumbs up from me anyway - I reckon it'd work well. :smt023
Then refurb the alloys and headlamps the same grey and I reckon you'd be on a winner.

Fair dinkum mate! :P

I think it's a really nice detail the way you have the light pods at the front painted, but I wouldn't paint the rest, prefer it the way it is now.
