Keyed. .... f**ker

Postby RussMan » Thu Feb 12, 2009 5:33 pm

Had the misfortune of having my Z keyed outside the Luas stop at sandyford over a 4 minute period while i got a coffee. 510 euro on the cheap to get the whole drivers side of the car resprayed.

May he's or her pants be infested by the fleas of a thousand camels
although its now given me a kick re my full respray as i always wanted a black Z so will keep u posted :)

Would love to know what idiots like that are thinking when they do such things,

Yeh insurance will pay for it but its my "get out of jailfree card" i.e i won't lose my bonus but if i claim again i will so i think ill wait until my drifting skills cause some major problems and claim then (This is a joke btw!!)

Very very very impressed though with my insurance company. Reported it day before yesterday, reported to the guards.. insurance assessor called me 20 minutes later and arrived out the following morning to assess. Excellent work by Travelers.

horrible behaviour. Haven't seen it in a while. I'm always skeptical about leaving my car anywhere and tend to take the partners car doing the shopping and that type of thing. still you don't expect it in 4minutes. I thought you meant u had left it at the luas car park all day or something. very unlucky. what goes around comes around.

Sorry to hear this Russ - A full respray in a different colour would be way more expensive though and if you did go this route it wouldn't make sense to paint the Zed a similar colour to one thats already available.

I'd agree with Shane, it's cool as it is and you'll never get that factory finish. Nothing worse than seeing an engine bay a different colour than the rest of the car :o

That really is a bummer - if you were only in there 5 mins the guys were probably watching your reaction as you came out.

On topic of keying - I saw a C4 yesterday with serious keying on both sides. Worst of all was the bonnet though - 'C*NT' was keyed across the full width of it !!!
