MSI Wind @argos

Argos are selling these for €250 at the moment. Really good piece of kit at a nice price. I got a black one yesterday (they do pink ones, Elaine..!). Already upgraded the RAM and "tweaked" the processor. Why..? Because I can..!

Looks like MSI have bridged the gap between netbook and laptop. Do you have a link to a spec sheet? Can't find opne on MSIs site....

That looks like an excellent deal Gfalls. Are there are noticable cons (CPU aside)before I go out and invest?

cant find any cons yet...all good...proper keyboard, for us fat fingered gits... upgrading ram a doddle, get a 1GB stick and rip the back off, only one slot as the main 1GB is soldered on the board. Wireless is working a treat. I suppose the only downside is the battery is only the 3 cell one, would have been better with a 6 or 9.

I like it.. Will be great to drag about in the car...

Found this as well. Free shipping too..!

MSI looks good and cheap too but this alternative from Dell also seems like a good alternative for similar money

Any thoughts on this - I'm looking for something for my parents.

Not a big fan of Dell. That's not to say they aren't good. Its just that parts are hard to get if your in the business of PC repairs, like wot I am. More than happy with the MSI. I've used their mobos in builds for a long time, and can't fault them or their after service.

All down to personal taste I suppose.. :)
