Parked beside a black '87 well kept / restored Corolla GTS the other week at work. Made by yoke look like something from 'Back to the Future'

Wasn't a bad looking old machine I must say. Looked something like this one except in black

AE86. Beloved of drifters and small lads with their baseball hats at jaunty angles, unbelievable price for a 1.6 Corolla and insurance to match.

To think they used to be available for £500 back in the 90's

I've actually started to respect a bit more since I came over here, there's surprisingly not that many and they are in good nick when you do see them. Whereas back home they get the backside ripped out of them and torn to shreds. I don't think I'd own one I'd go for a 180sx first I think.

there's a couple around Ardee that look mint..

The seem to have one thing in common though...lots of noise, not so much with the acceleration...they do look quirky though..
