If you open the fuse box on the underside of the lid you will find a full diagram of what fuse goes where. Failing that if you cant see it or what ever reason you could go through each fuse looking for the guilty culprit, only takes 5 minutes from opening the bonnet to closing it.

There is a fuse layout diagram explaining what ones are which on here somewhere if I'm not mistaken.
I had a quick search but can't find it.

As above, open the bonnet, top right you see the fuse box and it has diagram. It is normally possible to spot a blown fuse without having to pluck them out one by one anyway, as you can see through the fuse casing. Good luck

Yep, found the guilty fuse, but it keeps blowing any new fuse, not sure what the problem could be now. Am thinking the old leaky heater matrix might have caused a problem somewhere with it

You'll have to check that no wires are in contact, causing a short circuit. Also make sure the connections are all good too. Sorry to hear it's an ongoing problem, but atleast the smell is gone :)

Am thinking its got to be something regarding the wiring within the centre console, cos I took that all out when replacing the matrix. ill have to have another butchers at it. The new matrix is all good, nice and warm and no smell at last lol

Well that's how my fuse blew (twice). It was the wiring behind the centre console. The the ciggy lighter wiring and anything else that looks like it was messed with in the past.

As you know - my matrix went recently and I forked out E200 for a now one from Camskill.

Well guess what vomit inducing smell came through my vents this morning along with fogged up windows?

Fcuking thing is gone again and it's not in it 6 months. Matrix is leaking. No warranty of course with Camskill, how nice of them. I'm going to see if I can get one made - there is no way in hell I'm paying 200 again to those robbing baxtards. I've found 2 places in England selling them for 69 - 76 sterling WITH a 12 month warranty. I'm going to see if they will ship to Ireland and in the meantime the glovebox has to be ripped out again and I'll see can I get one made up.

Christ almighty.

No way. That really blows (no pun intended). I hope you've been keeping yourself flexible for all the bending and twisting you'll be doing to get the thing replaced. Would you not consider a 2nd hand matrix?
