Guys, as MyfeckinFTO said ideally we will need 12 to 15 for the grand prix.
It would be useful if we could get definite numbers at this stage.
Zacob + 1 cannot make it.
Kev & Speedboy are both provisional -any update guys? Will ye be coming along?
Is there anybody else coming whose name is not on the list.
If anyone wants to bring friends along to make up the numbers then by all means!

Lads - Is this the definitive list??-

1: MfFTO (overnighter)
2: Speedyboy (If you dont mind my aul primera coupe)*provisionally
3: Mustang (overnighter)
4: CJ (assuming I get the jammer fixed up by then) - overnighter
5: Kev (NOT overnighter) *provisionally
6: Dave (any excuse for a session - overnighter!!)
7. Nigel (overnighter)

I now have 5 rooms booked (all doubles) - anyone with "overnighter" has a room booked.

Kev and Speedyboy - you are still down as provisional - any update on this??

As mentioned - We need to be at Tynagh Karting track at 1500 for a 1530 start.

Nah - no panic there - we will just pay as we go. €50 for karting and €50 per person for the Hotel. What you spend on drink will depend on how much I can drink!

I might bring my potty.

Dave, I was thinking of heading over at about 12pm or so, pm me your mobile and I'll give you a call on Friday night. We'll say probably meet up at the Foxhunter in Lucan at 12pm and take it from there.

It's looking like a repeat attendance of the RR meet. It would be nice if we could get some more of the troops to come along. On the basis that we have only five definites and two provisionals, we should be looking at increasing the numbers -friends (attending) girl friends/wives etc.

Yeah - We may even have to get the ladies involved in the Karting - No harm perhaps - My missus would certainly be up for it. We could have a prize for best female driver.

thats very sexist, a prize for best lady drivers, how do ya know that us ladies cant kick yer asses on the course!!!!

Maybe you could come along and show us how its done

You are of course correct - it is quite sexist - but then so is camogie and hurling. I don't doubt however that a good female driver could beat a bad male driver on a karting circuit - I've seen it happen myself.

OK then - no prize for best female driver - how about a "best dressed female driver" then?

Helen,
You are more than welcome to come along and kick some male chauvinist ass. Bring along the 100NX no need to arrive in an FTO -all welcome!
You can then follow on by drinking us all under the table!

You've a lot to learn from me Mustang - though I probably know more about FTO's and karting than ladies - (not a lot then!).

Uh-Ohh! I feel a very unflateringly titled MfFTO split thread coming on.

We'll leave it for the minute, its only begun to meander ;)

Any suggestions on somewhere nearby for a photo session? There must be a load of nice spots in the area. Note to MfFTO: I plan on giving the motor a good wash before I head down, I don't want to see you welly-clad sprawled all over my bonnet in a Max Power Babe pose :P

The car won't arrive clean after a spin down the west - you saw my car after I had to drive to Enfield the last time out.

There are some great photo opportunities along the way - I'll leave my wellies at home then - you'll have to explain to me what a max power babe pose is though - I'm afraid I don't have a subscription.

oh my god you guys are brutal, first you say about women drivers and now we are stero typing the west for a farmer's yard. we all dont have wellies and dont need them, most are roads are good so you should have no need to wash the cars before arriving unless ye are planing to take every back road from dublin but i doubt that will happen,
No me and the nissan 100 NX will not be showing up for the meet. after driving the FTO for the week i would be embarrased to drive it

There may be a bi-athlon on the day. Combined karting and welly throwing competition. So be sure to bring your wellies lads and lassies or you'll be at a distinct disadvantage. Top prizes for the overall winners!

I'm not gonna comment on this one, I'll leave it up to the Westies to debate ;)

We've had Mondeos at meets before, I wouldn't be embaressed about bringing along your 100NX! Seriously though, seeing as you're a new owner, it would be a good opportunity to learn a bit about the car and get to know us lot face to face, we're really not that bad - the slagging is a form of camaraderie (well most of the time ;))

Ok guys - Back to the task in hand.

We really need 12 drivers for a GP - not much point in having less than that - Can ye find out for me if ye're other halves would kart as well - my missus would like to if they're other girls involved - if neccessary we can have a girls and a guys heat before the race proper ( Not trying to be sexist here ) - and the best placed couple could win a prize with the fastest 6 drivers (guys or girls) going into the final.

I need to give final numbers to the circuit in the morning.
Whats the story with Speedyboy ? - he hasn't confirmed if hes going or not yet.

1: MfFTO (overnighter)
2: Speedyboy (If you dont mind my aul primera coupe)*provisionally
3: Mustang (overnighter)
4: CJ (assuming I get the jammer fixed up by then) - overnighter
5: Dave (any excuse for a session - overnighter!!)
