I've sent a mail out about this meet to our S2000 owners and opened a thread on S2KUK.
It took allot of 5 minutes to get its first reply so things are looking positive from here

Right guys, karting is booked for the 21st May, at 3.30pm sharp, (which also gives us a bit of time to get there). Grand Prix it is, minimum of 9 people needed. Grace ,Tom & leftfootbraking could ye check with ye're forums to see who is karting and update the list so we know we have enough numbers? Also check if there are any +1s and if they are karting too. is there any convoy arrangements around dublin or is everyone makin there own way?

I reckon the plan will be that the Munster crowd will meet around Limerick and make our way up to meet the Leinster crew somewhere, picking up the others then on the way down, somewhere around Dublin but not in the city though, maybe Naas or somewhere like that, too hard to keep everyone together going through the city plus theres the amount of time it takes too.

There'll be a good few spots for karting I'd say. The minimum is 9 but they can cater for 22 on the track at one time. The group can be as large as we want.

I won't be karting, and I don't understand why the munster crowd are driving to Naas to meet the leinster crowd and then back to Kilkenny... Hate convoys anyway, so I'll meet ye down there!!!

Good stuff Laura. I think the convoys are the best part of it and its nice to get a good crew on the road together, thats why we're planning on meeting them somewhere else first, chance to get a bit of a drive in before the karting. You staying overnight too? Just so the list can be updated.
Tom the karting is on the Saturday, the karting is happening here; http://www.kiltorcan.com/. I suppose the week beforehand people will start arranging meeting up times, but if we're meeting ye somewhere then we need to allow time to travel down to Kilkenny so it would want to be around mid-morning anyway if not earlier.

I agree with you here , If i were ye would go to Portlaoise and cross over to Carlow meet the Dublin lads there and go on from there also if ye travel as far as Kilkenny ye will have to double back again for the karting. Should go Portlaoise ,Carlow, Paulstown,Gowran,Thomastown and on down to Ballyhale,also is a nice little road for a drive as you would pass Jerpoint abbey and also close to mount juliet rather than been on the motorway all the time. Thats only me

It would take about 1 hour to get there from Carlow In case of delays on the road ye would want to leave carlow no later than 2 o clock that give 1:30 to get there and there should be time then before the karting for a chat or to get ready. I hope to kart on the day not sure yet as have hurt the knee playing with the kids so will see how it is between now and then.

Grace, I contacted that b and b you listed, they are saying they are full. Is that due to you prebooking or separate people booking? Do they know it's a meet?

EDIT: They just rang me, as above, can I take one of the twin rooms you've booked so?

No probs with the room Laur- its urs if u want it! I told them we were a classic car club- didnt want them to think we were a bunch of scumbag boy racers! Parking is very secure (so im told).

I posted a deposit yesterday to hold the rooms. So were good.
