Earlier the better guys - theres 165 cars booked into the Show & Shine - Peter was saying to get there as early as possible to secure space for our stand. Def need to there pre 0830.

I would say we need to be meeting outside the South Court hotel (handy for all points to meet for convoy to racecourse) at 8.00am sharp.
John and G falls - I'll be passing through Birdhill around 0730 - give me a call when on approach. I can be reached on 087 2737794 for anyone who is looking for directions in the morning.

Coolio, that's about 200 yds from where myself and Bernard usually meet up, there's a maxol just the town side of it, good for the old E5.

Safe driving and will see you all then.

Long oul day, but really enjoyed it. Beautiful weather really made it, and had some fun on the drive home too

The 1/4 mile went well, but I couldn't quite break into the 14's, so a little disappointed, but at least I have a time set now.

My three best times (in order) were 15.02, 15.00 & 15.01, so whatever I'm doing right or wrong, I'm doing it consistantly.

0-60 of 6.42, so happy out with that.

Thanks to all who came, long journey for some, but always good to see them.

Grand - 398bhp at the flywheel - something like 340ish at the wheels. 354Lb/ft of torque though (which is nice). It was a very hot day and they said under normal conditions I'd be seeing 400-410bhp. They said fueling was absolutely spot on with very good power considering the supercharger is running at low psi (conservative map for standard internals). I'd say I'm getting this level of power (at such low psi) mostly due to the other mods - uprated fuel pump, fuel pressure reg, 550cc injectors, uprated APS oil pan, increased volume APS plenum, hi flow cats, true dual exhaust etc etc and of course the UTEC EMS with good mapping (thanks Dave).

Its was on a Dyno dynamics roller and its known that these guys give very accurate readings - saw a couple of guys going away with their tail between their legs yesterday having got the bad news (low bhp/bad fueling etc). Most impressive car on the dyno though was the 30year old Jensen Interceptor with a brand new Corvette 6.1l LS2 engine (uprated AP racing brakes and suspension) which put out around 450bhp. Same car put in a 4 sec 0-60 run and late 13's on 1/4 mile. Quite the sleeper.

Good stuff, well done! Nothing wrong with 400 odd horsepower! How come it loses so much getting from the fly to the wheels? With the amount of mods it seems like there is nothing more that could have been done to enhance the setup but losing 60hp seems a lot, or would that be the weight of the car coming into effect there.
Jensen Interceptor, that not Mad Max's car? Or was it just called the interceptor and modeled on a Ford or something I saw somewhere?
