Clarkson 350Z convertible review in Sunday Times

Postby kevinod » Sun May 29, 2005 3:24 pm

Just a mention, Jeremy Clarkson reviews the convertible 350Z in Sunday Time's driving section. He doesn't seem too impressed though, only gave it a 2 out of 5.

I read it too. Well he never much liked the 350Z coupe in the first place.
Perhaps he is right, but sometimes he has to be controversial just for the sake of it!

Clarkson is on his own with that review - Every other car mag review I have read rates the car very highly indeed.
Looks well and if performance isn't too different from the hardtop version then its sure to be an excellent car.

I know someone who traded from a porsche boxster to a hardtop 350z - said it is an amazing car and every bit as good as the boxster - he really wanted a softop but thought the car was so good he wouldn't wait so he got a hardtop which he's going to trade in for a softop as soon as he can get one... must be a good car (or else he's more money than sense)

Did this person buy new? If so at the €64k or €54k asking price?

He did buy new - AFAIK he bought one of the first cars into the country so probably at the €64K asking price. But I really don't know for definite - he's not short of a few bob though. I heard that Nissan were going to do some deal to those who bought at the higer price to compensate them in someway, i.e. some deal on trade in - not sure if I got that right though.
