Project Panda..

Postby TopCat » Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:09 pm

Still (somewhat) alive it appears. Saw it on the back of a trailer today, front bumper off, in Tullamore around lunch time. I wonder is the project still being carried through?

Surprised it not up a tree somewhere eating leaves.. I do wonder how much money has been poured into it now.

You're not serious!! I've wondered often was that car still around, or even the man himself. No surprise really that its on the back of a trailer, has it ever been off one in reality?

Yup, it was, for a few years, and then the Greeks stepped in and made it even all the more interesting. Seb might put a link up to that one too if you're nice to him.

Has the makings of a great film. Obviously events, names, hp claims etc will have to be changed.

Ah but Colm all those hp claims had plenty of proof to show they were real, such as his word, and previous attempts from engines putting out totally different psi's but then worked out from them what his might possibly if working right would put out. And don't forget the video! What an exhilarating 2 seconds I had watching that rev counter fly!

I recognise the Blue FTO there, your man is a member on Irishmoc.org that was up for sale about 2 yrs ago for €4,500 somebody mentioned at the time it was a rust bucket!

I think he said it was a turbo conversion as well, not sure though. Pity its a nice looking car

Its a turbo all right, whether its still in it or not is another thing. Theres a totally different issue with the turbo on that one.
