Alan, you'll have to either host them on a third party web server and use [IMG] tags to reference them or mail them to me and I'll put them up for you.

After much haggling €6650. Which both parties were happy with. The car really was in perfect, showroom condition, had been serviced regularly by Mitsubishi and generally cosseted and loved by me and the asking price reflected that.

As with any car, it is always better to go for a slightly more expensive, but well looked after car, than the cheap dog with all manner of horrors underneath, but it is especially the case with the FTO and its complicated V6 and tiptronic box.

That is what the people who bought it thought too and that is what matters!

A car is is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. The first person that came to see the car offered €6400 and I turned that down. I wouldn't have asked what I did unless I thought the car was worth it and I thought that I could get it. The car really was in amazing condition (the photos didn't do it justice!) and it was looked after with no expense spared. I have had 9 more calls since selling the car on Saturday.

What I would say is that I would definitely buy another FTO and I would also buy another Mitsubishi car. What a fantastically reliable brand they are. The dealer that serviced my car here was always totally professional and friendly (Michael Tynan Motors) and the owners are a sound bunch too. Thanks to Rob Edge for all his advice and help when I first moved over.

Boring motoring here I come :-(

As it happens, I'm in Robs old GPX, he jumped on the sensiible car bandwagon himself, mind you that chipped Mondeo TDCi managed 156bhp and a massive 296lbs/ft of torque at the last RR session!

Robert Edge's GPX - I seem to remember that having a lovely exhaust with a cat by-pass that made a fantastic noise when you floored it! Great car.

The replacement is already bought, but I feel embarrassed admitting to a '94 Golf Diesel Estate! I had to downgrade purely for practical reasons. It's hard to tell your girlfriend that you can't afford a much needed kitchen when you have €6.5K car on the drive and you are paying €1900 a year to renew your insurance.

Anyone see the optimistic guy asking for €10K for his 1.8 on www.cbg.ie ?

I hope that I haven't offended anyone here. What's this car got to make it so special?
