My 350Z SC for sale

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Tue Nov 23, 2010 1:34 am

Been contemplating this one for a while and now that the winters set in and the Zed has been tucked away in the garage for weeks and likely will be till next spring (apart from an occasional run) - the 4WD is getting all the use and its starting to seem a bit silly to have a 20K toy that I am just using occasionally.

The plan is to sell on the Zed now and buy something similar in the spring so here goes-

03 350Z - 37K miles only (and a full history of services every 2-3K miles on average).

Engine and Drivetrain Spec
Vortech Supercharger (recently refurbed with two new belts and all new pulleys + intake) - spares also avail as part of sale price.
FMIC
Walbro Fuel Pump
Utec ECU with Map Selector (Gives the ability to run two maps)
APS Plenum
APS Strut bar
APS Oil Pan (much larger than standard)
RC550cc injectors
Iridium Plugs
Spill's grounding kit
Stainless Steel Coolant and Power steering pot
Stainless Steel Bolts
Nismo Oil and Radiator Cap
Samco Hoses
Carbon Battery and Brake Fluid Covers
Carbon Slam panel
Tein Bonnet Struts
Decat Invidia G200 Exhaust (Cats or hiflow cats also inc)
Power, max setting, 419bhp and 354ftlb and "low" setting 383.7bhp 337ftlb, mapped using a Turbo XS Utec

Kaaz LSD (2 way converted to 1.5 way) - offers fantastic traction and control.
Brembo 4 pot front brakes with brand new Performance friction floating calipers and DS2500 pads and 2 pot Brembos on rear with Endless pads.
JWT Clutch and Flywheel
Nismo Sway Bars and control arms
Tein Superstreet Suspension and EDFC (adjust damper settings inside car)

Interior
Saga guages, oil temp, pressure and boost
6.5" DVD
Nismo Titanium gear knob
Full Carbon Interior
Kit includes: stereo surround, upper and lower, vent trim, crown cover, corner pieces, door inserts
Usual GT spec, leather heated electric seats, cruise control, phone etc

Exterior
Shine Amuse Front Bumper with a CF intake and CF splitters
CF roof overlay, Mastergrade (Top Secret) rear CF diffuser.
Nismo Version 2 rear wing
Upgraded facelift rear lights (LED type)
Carbon pillars
Carbon wing mirrors
Rolled arches to accomodate aggressive offset Rota Drifts and 275r/245f Toyo R888 tyres.

Theres a lot of spec I am certain I have missed out on - this Zed must be viewed to be appreciated. Recent 3K service of engine and supercharger - all fluids - brakes etc. A list of receipts (over 10K in past year alone) that would give my Bank Manager a heart attack.

And now to the price - €19,500

yes you can buy a 03 350Z for close on 10K. But not one that has had another 30K + spent on it to create what was for me the ultimate Zed. Front cover car on Japanese Performance and MIJ magazines.

My other option is to strip the Zed (bring back to standardish spec) and sell the aftermarket parts - probably makes the most financial sense but I just don't have the heart to do it - its what I feel the 350Z would have been like if Nissan weren't concerned about budget and just set out to design the ultimate performance coupe.

If I could afford to just keep it in the garage then I would. But now with two babies the Zed has become almost useless in our household - the Murano does all the work and now that winter has set-in I need another car that can handle West of Ireland roads and conditions and take a baby seat.

If theres anything that'll change your perspective on cars - its kids.

Also selling another toy and if this goes before the Zed then its likely I'll be putting the Zed under wraps.

I hear ya.

Surprised you're selling it after the amount of money you've put into it, GLWTS. I've driven this car and loved it - buckets of power but very usable.

Shame to see this moving again, I would snap this up but I'm now looking at a Skyline GT believe it or not!

At that money, you'd probably sell it quicker in the UK....

@ MyfeckinFTO you are doing what now?
I'm liking the interior shots. I'm with Dave on the potential audiance though, have you advertised in the UK. Could I interest you in a trade for a rare manual mivec?

Yes Mustang (before you ask) - its one of those "sales"

Those = decision made by SWMBO, "You can't have two toys, either they go or I go". :smt079
And again, you wha? Is that you in the photo I can't tell? If so is that your mistress? probably best not to post on a public website in case your wife sees it :smt002

Best of luck with the sale. I hope you have somewhere safe (offshore) to stash the sale proceeds.....

Nope - not even in the US. You could swop over the Vortech and bits and bobs quite easily alright but the CVT transmission wouldn't handle that type of power (its the reason Nissan limited the engine power in the first place). Standard Murano is around 245bhp and thats plenty for what I'm using it for.

My 350Z SC for sale - Price reduced

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:15 pm

http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1880777

Price reduced to 15950 although the rear CF diffuser and CF interior is now gone.

All the interest in the Zed is coming from the UK at the moment - sign of the times I guess.

Not to mention being featured here

In all seriousness, €20K for this car represented serious value.
At €16K it's a steal.

My Zed sold a couple of weeks ago and is now back residing in the UK where I suppose it was always gonna end back up in - theres just no market for a car like this in Ireland. Drove my last road trip of 548 miles (admittedly quite a senic route) to Bournemouth. At least it sold to another Zed forum member - so I'll be able to keep an eye on it and it'll certainly continue to be well looked after.

After years of one-way imports - I reckon theres now a market for high-end and performance cars & SUVs to be exported to the UK.

Congrats. The sale Shane. I'm sure there are some mixed feelings when you sold it. It was some machine.

It looks like I'll be doing a little sideline in cars for a couple of months as I've another Zed and a Paj Evo - both of which will shortly be up for sale (currently in for service) before hopefully settling on something performance orientated that can handle 3 kiddies chairs. - perhaps a V70R or similar type estate. In the meantime I'll be running both the Zed and the Paj Evo until either sell-on. One of these days I'll have a car with less than 3.5 litres in capacity (my last five petrol cars have been 3.5l - 3 Zeds,Murano, Paj Evo plus a 2.7 diesel RRS) that'll have the performance without the stupid 1600Euro Irish road tax - which looks like its only gonna get more expensive in the next budget. Won't be surprised to see either the Zed or Paj Evo ending up in the UK either.

colm_mcm wrote:...........Does the new owner have any plans for the Zed?

Not immediately - but if he follows my advice he'll change the ECU (from the Utec to an Uprev allowing for more parameters to be changed) and maybe add an oil cooler for track days (which he runs from time to time). These would have been the next mods on my list. In any case its an already nicely sorted Zed. Its had 3 meticulous Zed forum member owners during its total of 38K miles to date who have constantly been improving the car and it looks like the new owner (also a Zed forum member) has everybit as much interest in the car as the rest. I'd seriously consider buying this Zed back in a couple of years if I could.

Yep - No. 3 is on the way. I'm keeping the ball pucked out during the current recession in an effort to get the economy back on track.

I know your comments are in jest but I imagine a Zafira VXR (for the missus) wouldn't be a bad drive although I don't see myself driving one - I'm already getting mammy-wagon comments about the Murano.
