15.84 is'nt a bad time I guess.
You should be aiming to knock about a second off that next time round though - A fit Manual GPX (same engine as your own) will be in the 14's and your Colt should be lighter.

That's a very respectable 1st run I think..I'm struggling to remember what I did last year in Limerick but I think it was 14.82 - not 100% though..

It's a different kettle of fish to normal driving that's for sure..

Did you spin your wheels much tintin?

The reaction time was .8 of a second, getting that down would see a nice improvement.

On the ball - Bernard. The reaction time alone leaves you considerable scope for improvement.

it'd be interesting to see what the car weighs in at as well - to compare it to an FTO which is in and around 1260kg as far as I remember..

If you're looking to put 1/4 mile times in perspective:

Typical family 1.6 saloon - circa 18-20 secs+
Typical Hot hatch - Focus ST / Civic Type R etc - circa 15-16 secs
FTO Mivec Manual - circa 14.7 - 15 secs
Typical 4WD STI or EVO (stock) - circa 13-14 secs
2008 - 350Z - 13.8 secs
Latest model BMW M5 - 12.6 secs
Supposedly fastest production car on earth - Veyron (1000bhp+) will do the 1/4 mile in 10.8 secs

However - a few mods on your turbo nutter STI or EVO and you're in the 11's. There have been a few cars in the 10's in Limerick over the past few years - and they're nothing special to look at - just big ass turbos and 4WD.

Its always the ones who are never much to look at to be worried about, they spend the money where it cant be seen, in the bay. But thats where it counts.

Yip - I remember an EVO I (or II) a couple of years back in Limerick - it looked like a regular sh1tbox lancer on the outside (and in v poor cosmetic condition at that) but was running early 12 sec 1/4 mile times.
