98 Gpx Manual for sale :(

Hi guys after only a month and a half i have to sell my fto I got a new job on friday starting tomorow very happy but i need to buy a diesel or something i can travel 100 kms a day so the fto has to go. I am very upset as i had just got insurence sorted at a very good price and i was very lucky to find a gpx manual as clean as this one.I would keep the car but with work 6 days i just wont have the time to put into it. The car has 180k kms.timing belt and water pump done, just serviced, new tyres, audio unit and speakers, strut brace the car will need a cat to be fitted to pass the nct. The car has a ss exhaust white dials and alarm. I payed 1k and some parts as a px for car and have spent about 500euro on car.I am hoping to get 1500 my money back hopefully this will go to another member this car is a little gem and would like to see it in the club. I will leave it up here for few days and if theres no interest it will be going on donedeal. tis a very sad day but on the upside i have a job

Wow. You spent longer looking than you did owning. It would be good if you got your money back alright, but you will end up lowering that a fair bit I'm afraid. It's a lovely car. Congrats on the new job.

Thanks man yeah its a cracking car and its killing me to sell it but the job has to come first.I have been offered 1250 from a mate but really want to get what i payed as i think its worth 1500 and more.

Good luck with the sale mate. Might want to update your profile to include location as well as some other bits of information regarding the car itself (condition of body/interior/tyres, if it's undersealed, any rust etc.). Hope it stays within the club!

For a mate to own it, I'd take the €1250. Otherwise you'll be lucky to get it sold for 1k. Maybe with an Nct it will help, but you need a cat at least. It it were mine, I would store it and pick up a run around to get me those long miles to work.

I absolutely hate that carry on, if I was in the market for an FTO, seeing that kind of thing in the ad would put me off.
If it was eBay the ad could be taken down for doing that, shame donedeal don't do likewise.

One of the guys working on my car is in the market for an fto and I have steered him toward a manual mivec. I will say this to him. €1150 for buy to break seems like a lot of money. Usually it's 4-500 at best....600 tops for a manual mivec.

LOL my brother put the add up for me he said it will pop up for more searches.I honestly think the guy has a buyer and hes only saying hes going to break it to see how little i will go with price.Yea thanks man he wont be disapointed with this car

I'd consider buying it myself, but couldn't justify having 2 manual mivecs. If I can't convince myself, I can't convince the missus. Plus, €1200 is just a tad bit more than I have in my sock drawer.

Yes transferred the policy, Living in Wexford now! Plans would be HID kit, get the NCT and tax it for 3 months!

Sounds good. The hids are much better. Make sure she is undersealed. Mine just had a big job in that area.
