how do u make a website found easy

i have my website up now over a year,but still some people say they find it hard to find sometimes. depending on web browser and what they type in.but what im asking for do you guys know a way to make it easier to find.? or maybe would it be to do with the website host.?

google ads - if your using them your site comes up way higher in the list when searched in google worked when i had my own site
