I may be able to help with getting a spin in a 350Z if you like.

:smt023 :smt038 Nice. Fancy a tyre kicking session? Can't wait to hear the details.
It's beginning to look like all the senior staff at FTO-Ireland all have two sports cars each. It's well for some :smt090

I'll be holding onto it for a while at least - I've wanted one of these for a while and they're only now starting to fall to reasonable money.

Two different features Kev - It has a Limited Slip Differential AND a Leave Scoobies for Dead button.

Nah - Its a pretty heavy car - I doubt an STI or Evo would worry too much about it - A lot of hardware like ABS, EBD and TC contributes to the weight of 1500kgs. Thats probably why my sub 1200kg GPX Manual feels almost as quick.

Still listed figures of 0-60 in 5.8 secs / 0-100 in 14 secs and 1/4 mile around 13.7 secs (depending on what Car mag you read) - means I can have similar performance and more comfort than in the FTO. Goes to show what a cracking buy a well maintained and tastefully modded FTO really is.

Am looking forward to the RWD and LSD though.

I'm sure that if you REALLY wanted to YOU of all people could remove enough stuff to get it very close to the weight of an FTO..

That's not a challenge btw ;-)

Sounds a bit conservative to me - unless you're planning to rip out the aircon and back seats!

One would wonder why you're changing ;)

I would be interested to see how it handles in typical winter weather with TCL off - the Rex steps out in the wet without even trying

Most mags quote between 1500 and 1545kgs depending on spec - Nissan seem to quote circa 1535 - 1545kg - http://www.nissan.ie/vehicles/passenger ... ations.asp

No back seats so can't remove them but theres LOTS of other stuff that could definetly go if I was doing a 1/4 mile run.

CJ took some last week when he had a spin - I haven't taken any proper pictures yet though - Its p1ssed rain since the day I picked her up. Heres some shakey ones I took in the dark though - I've a set of (Gun Metal Grey) Rota GTR rims waiting to go on as soon as my Ultralight Lug nuts arrive.

The light wasn't great at the time, the pics I took are similar to ones you posted.

I was really impressed with power delivery on the Z, buckets of low down torque which gets you up to speed without hesitation. The interior is really classy and the car itself has serious street presence. The TCL works flawlessly, it was p!ssing down the night I took a for spin and it didn't step out once. All in its great package.

Seconded, really nice power delivery, with plenty of low down torque, very easy to gather speed  It would be an ideal car for blasting across a continent...... Feels very solid and composed -crappy weathter when I was driving too. All in all very nice :smt023
