Hi there!From Japan

Postby ultrakupra » Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:06 am

Hi,i know this is an Irish forum, but i hope you guys dont mind if i stay around here hehe
Im spanish living in Japan(my english level sucks btw).I have my FTO since october last year, its a 1996 GR,black.
I will be posting photos as soon as i have my apex lower springs installed soon.
Im thinking about this two options too,any advices are welcome:
1-remove the rear spoiler.
2-change it for a Version R one.

Anyways, just wanted to say hello. :smt006
I'm spanish, sorry if my english is so poor,i learned it at school when i was a kid and i forgot almost all of it lol

Remove the spolier, Ftos look much nicer without it in my opinion.

+1 - especially if you combine with side skirts and deeper front bumper/splitter.

Thank you for your warm welcome ^^

Sebastian

Yes,i bought it here,FTOs are cheap in Japan, you can get a GP version R in mint condition for about 5000 Us dollars, old GPX or GR are even cheaper. :)
The scene is not bad, there is the project F community where we make some meetings, and the Mitsubishi Motors Fan event is coming this year in october and its gonna be in Kyoto, there you can see lots of FTOs.Btw,i dont like how japanese people tune their FTOs,they are always putting huge spoilers and sometimes anime vinyls which make the FTO look like gay lol

About the spoiler,i think i will remove it for a while and see if i like how it looks,i dont like those gay-ass super big GT spoilers or the HIRO spoiler, you guys know which one is that? is huuuuuuge, and it makes the FTO look really ugly(in my opinion though).
Here is a pic.

No way man,in my opinion Hiro's spoiler is ugly :P,big spoilers are not my thing(ex.lancer evolution).
Just my opinion, not trying to offend nobody

I would tend to agree, leave the supra and alfas to that...

Nice to have someone from Japan, thought the scene would have been dead over there regards FTOs!

Well I'm going against the grain here and disagreeing with the non-spoiler look. But for me it would have to be the GPvR spoiler. I like the spoilerless look on cullens but thats only cause of the bodykit, standard non-spoilerless doesnt do it for me.

Thank You for your comments.
Mine is a GS, even with 50mm lowering springs it wasn't low enough, so I purchased some HKS coilovers, wound it fully down, still wasn't low enough, so I cut about 4 coils off the bottom, now it sits just right & looks slammed when on the move.

Weekly wash & polish, finished with a sealant keeps mine looking sharp at all times ;)
