I know there is a Gallery in the main seciton... but what about including a section for photos in the Forum index?

This might encourage people to post photos more often and comment on them?

Just looking at the UK fto OC website and it works well.

I'll take a look at it Mivec, I was thinking about adding a photo gallary to the forums but never got around to it, leave it with me....

MIVEC, your suggestion got me motivated, I've installed a photo album in the forum Click on the 'Album' icon at the top of the screen under the 'www.fto-ireland.com' text for access. You can also access personal albums directly from users profile view. This facility allows registered users to upload picture no larger than 256Kb at a max resolution of 1024x768 to their personal gallery.

Points to Note:

1. This Album is for car related pictures only, no compromise.

2. Do not, under any circumstances, upload inappropriate, defamatory, unlawful or offensive images of any kind. Any breach of this rule will result in an indefinite ban from the forums.

Please enjoy this resourse and use it wisely.

Did the gallery ever get running?? I also think a members gallery would be nice. You could post pics of your motor and what modifications have been carried out to give others an idea of what potential and variety the cars have.

the dc5 site im on has one n its right handy to see all the latest picys.

When I click on "Gallery" it says under construction, whats happening, are the builders on strike or are we having trouble with planning permission

I have indeed mate.

I've built a few sites for my own use and a few for local businesses for their first sites, but they all moved on a few yrs ago to get bigger ones done that I hadn't the interest in making.

Currently building one for my daughters school, mostly my talents lay with html, css + php. If I can't get it already made, I can normally write something similar

Your talents would have come in useful a few months ago when we upgraded the site and forum. Will certainly keep you in mind in the event that we undertake additional work....

The more I think about it, the more I reckon that a dedicated pics forum would be a better route to take - less admin work, offsite hosting which keeps our usage down and its all self contained within the forum itself. If folks think its a good plan then we'll set one up.

It's certainly the path of least resistance in terms of getting it running sooner and easier.

I think its a great idea, keep the bandwidth down by external linking, would love to see some arty farty shots of FTO's around Ireland.
