well i want to get a few things sorted (money wise) first as i've just bought a house and want to get them sorted before i lash all my money into that.

the turbo is paid for and i'll be getting a new bumper and maybe skirts so might get this as well, depending on how it looks of course!

Only place you'll find one is on one of the Jap sites - I'd say it'd look pretty sweet - I have a personal preference for the vented ones though - esp with a turbo - loose all that nasty heat.

funky do one. not vented though, but i am after a new look, facelift bozz maybe dc skirts this bonnet and maybe loosing the spoiler!

i quite like it, hence i ordered it today!!

These are exactly the kind of people I wouldn't be too keen to impress in any case - I'm sure they're the same ones that say "Can he not afford better than a 95 car!" or "Why would you want to spend that kind of money on tyres? or "Would you not be better off buying a nice '01 Ford Focus!"

I like them but having said all that - I won't be buying a carbon bonnet anytime soon - don't think it would suit a Steel Silver FTO.

There are cheaper ways of loosing weight from the car - getting rid of the air con and spare wheel would be a good start - I don't really think many guys buy a carbon fibre bonnet/boot with the idea of loosing weight from the car - its really more of an asthetic feature on a road car and a small part of an overall weight loss program on a track car.

I would tend to think that this probably represents about 99% of the Irish population - very few people know what a carbon bonnet is.

I actually think that steel silver would be one of the only colours that this wouldn't look 3 bad with

there are a few steel silver's out there with it and i think it looks good on it!

i'm not really buying it for weight loss, just think it's time for a new look, i've had the car nearly three years now and the same body kit for 2 and a half!!

Its a good contrast - turned out better than I thought it would TBH.
I had liked the wheels when they were white but now I think the black suits the car better.

Dave - I think your wheels would look savage powder coated - especially if you had the carbon bonnet.

yeah i wouldn't mind doing this, yours do look the business but it's just a little further down on my list, i've a bit of spare cash that i've ear marked and get a few things done first!
the facelift bozz, skirts and maybe not a full respray but getting all the minor stuff repaired is priority!

i may be tempted though once i see yours in the flesh!!

It will take a couple of days - cost wise you're probably looking at €250 for the 4 wheels depending on what you want done with regard to colour/finish etc. But these guys can literally do any piece of metal any colour - they generally stick to motorbike parts but motorbike heads are notoriously fussy with what they put on their bike so the quality of their work is top notch. They removed all of my old white paint and sanded it down they sprayed black and lacquered the entire wheel - its nearly a shame to put a tyre on it - its not a flat black - you can almost see the metal through the paint.

I can get an FTO Ireland rate if enough guys are interested - take a look at them at the meet and see what you think.
