Up to Kildare again for the next sports car purchase!

That makes 2 impractical cars in the family :)

1.8, 140 bhp but light as a feather, so nippy!! Some serious noise from it!!

I'm ashamed to say I fell into it earlier, I'm small as you all know, but it's a long way down, and I can't get in or out of it. You actually have to climb into it. I'll never be wearing a skirt in it, that's for sure.

My feet don't reach the footwell, my ar$e is killing me from the hard seats, my teeth are rattled out of my head. You are practically sitting on the road. It's not in the slightest bit sound proof, has no radio or anything really.

But it handles fantastically.

It's all the above things but it's MAD. We are all allowed be a bit mad before we settle down :D

It may make an appearance at the Wexford meet, if you don't mind a traitor in our midst :)

A Clio replacement I presume?

I had a spin in a lotus a while ago, I don't think it matters what size or shape you are, they're tough to get in and out of alright.

A bit too hardcore for my taste, great for trackdays though.

Yes. Well, and no. Keeping her for practical reasons for the time being.

Wholeheartedly agree, great as a toy but not as a road car I feel. I just couldn't give up my creature comforts like that...

Quite like the Elise. Would have been driving one by now except its a massively impractical machine. Fabulous to drive when the road is right I'm sure but while the 350Z seemed impractical for Irish roads I'm sure the even more extreme Elise would have me swearing as much as grinning from ear to ear.

Never say never though.

Well wear.

these things are savagely quick..

was out-accelerated by one that was local to where I used to live a couple of times..

but then again it's so small it would nearly fit in my jeans-pocket.

Love it!

Congrats on the purchase and well wear!

Congrats on the new motor... I'd say it's a great drive alright, even if it is a bit unforgiving with bumps! Must be getting tough to decide which to drive in the mornings!

No guys, thought Berno's comment on the clio made it obvious - it's Derek's not mine!!!

No way in hell would I give up my creature comforts - it's feckin stripped out!!

Bloody well awesome track cars though, stuck to the corners!!!

It'll be taken out on the track no doubt, made for it!!

@ Topcat, LMAO!!!

Test driving it will sure be fun ;)

I can see underneath cars when behind them - underneath!!!

Like I said, y'all can have a poke around at the next meet, plan is to have it there...

lovely machine laura, although its light im still surprised at the low bhp... No doubt its still a whipit, just thought an Elise would be throwing out more... Yet again I show my ignorance!

I'm not sure but I think there's a supercharged version somewhere also.

A supercharged version of the VVTL-i (MIVEC type) engine from the Celica.

Depends on the model and year. From 2004 you had the 111R with 190bhp, now you can also get a supercharged one with 210 or so. the whole point of the car though is that you don't need the power to get the performance. IMO 190 is too much espeically with the VVTI kick @ 6250rpm which can unsettle the car if you're really gunning it.

The 190bhp engine is the standard Corolla/Celica T Sport engine, the 225bhp is from the Corolla Compressor limited edition (mental car, but solves the standard model's lack of low end power)
