Theft and NCB

Lads, anyone with Quinn ever had to claim for theft? Does / should it affect NCB?

I personally never claimed yet but know about ncbs with Quinn, but yes it will definitely will effect your ncb. This show be in a notebook they send you with your insurance details on page 3.

as it goes if you claim this will happen if you are in these brackets

No-claims bonus - Reduced to
1 year - 0 years
2 years - 0 years
3 years - 0 years
4 years - 1 year
5 year - 2 years

Hope you find you car soon.

Baldrick might correct me if im wrong seems he works in the insurance business.

Seems crap to have your NCB discount affected like that considering it's not like an accident where some blame can be attributed to the insured party. Not much you can do about getting your car stolen and its not like you are a bigger insurance risk if you do.

Thanks Stewy. Does that table definitely relate to theft claims, or is it for accident claims?

My sister's with Hibernian and had her car stolen and written off. They paid out the full value and it had no effect on her NCB. But Hibernian and Quinn are a world apart.

Actually while I'm at it, Mfto, is it easier to get a quote for the Z than an FTO? If so, what are the premiums like by comparison?

Yep - The two 350Z's I have owned are cheaper to insure than my previous FTOs. I'm no spring chicken though (37 yrs old now).

In the eyes of Quinn a claim is a claim no matter what it relates to i think but not 100%.
Might be a good idea to to edit your insurance and get your ncb protected before you claim, if at all you are going too. .
