I repaired the three wires that were there but the temp in air con stays warm

This may be the outside air temp wire for the air con.
What colour is the wire.

If it is all black the it is more than likely an earth wire. I will check on my GPX and see if I can figure out what it is for.

I had the same thing happen to me some time back and the belt cut the crank angle sensor wires. I was a female dog of a job to repair.

Hmmmm - Keville, can you describe where these wires are that were damaged. My tensioner pulley is missing completely (has been for years) and my aircon stopped working just before the summer.

Sounds like a common problem - could be what's wrong with mine.

Thanks

The wires are in front of the flywheel thats directly in front of the tensioner, it comes from the corner of the radiator and up the front of the engine about two inches in from the belt it hides in there somewhere :?

Thanks Keville - I took a look last night and found the wires. The outside thick black casing around the wires is broken down near the flywheel (not sure how though as it rests about an inch away from it). Very difficult to see if there is any breakage there - I obviously need to get down and dirty and get underneath the car to examine it closely.

When you guys say that you repaired the wires - did you actually find that the wires were completely severed ?

Keville - any joy so far diagnosing your problem ?

Kace,

Hey Guys,

Has anybody any idea about the number of wires coming across from the radiator to the engine for the air con, I'd appreciate if someone could check for me as I only have three but I think there should be four. Gratefull for any info recieved :)
