Wanted: Road Racing Bike

Guys I am looking to buy a secondhand road bike with the intention of doing the ring of Kerry cycle this year. Intention is to buy a decent bike as I am not onwe for the running and enjoy the bicycle.
Have been looking a Giant, specailized etc.
I know there are a lot of so called "Cycle to Work" scheme bikes out there that are lying idle. So if you know of anyone looking to sell at a good price please let me know.

Rory, what sort of budget did you have in mind? You'll struggle to get the likes of a Giant / Trek / Felt road bike for less than 400 quid, I'd keep an eye on adverts.ie, something is bound to come up.

Missed a beautiful giant defy yesterday locally. Went for 300, absolutely mint and the right size frame for me. Was on donedeal less than an hour. Was right sick after that one. Keeping an eye on donedeal and adverts. Have a starter budget of around 400.
