Back on topic. Is everyone happy enough with this?

€35 each B&B,
Double rooms for Crazidane, Dave, Ross, Seb and their respective +1s.
Single for Laura,

Oh haha Mr. Canny. You were only jealous

That's fine with me, but €30 for dinner?? Is that a 3 course?

All roads can lead to my room again but just STFU if you don't want to get thrown out this time!!

Actually guys, that quote was from another place, the Shannon Oaks in Portumna.

The Merriman (Kinvara) quote is as follows:

Thank you for your enquiery for the 5th of December09
We do have availability on that date, the rate will be €27.50 per person sharing bed and breakfast and we are doing a christmas 4 course menu for 27.50 per person
the single room supplement is €15.00 per person per night.

I reckon we deffo go to the Merriman, they looked after us there before.
The 4 course for another €27.50 sounds like a winner too. what are peoples thoughts?

Sounds good to me. Shall I extend an invite to the rotary guys or are we happy with the numbers so far?

Go with the Merriman, for the accomodation €27.50 pps B&B is excellent value -for a proper hotel. Not so sure about the dinner though.....I'd prefer not to have a festive (turkey) dinner just yet. Any chance you could get a copy of the fixed menu there?
Perhaps a change of scenery would be nice..The pier is a nice restaurant.....

We're gonna need more people for the karting, also there's always a few who won't be able to make it.
We need to start booking stuff ASAP.

List reproduced with MyfeckinFTO's plus one added.
Suggest people indicate if they and their plus one are karting (K) and or overnighting (O). As some people may attend for the karting only, or the over night only. Historically a lot of the plus one's don't take part in the karting... :smt061

I'll do my best to make this as its only 20 mins from me, only snag I can foresee is that I might have an exam the same/next day.
Don't stick me down for a room yet just in case.

I take it we have settled on the Merriman -get's my vote anyway. I assume we can just book the accomodation for now -and decide on the meal at a later date?
Do you want to book the hotel as a group. Are they offering us a group rate? If so do we need to mention the club or what reference have they given you. or are those rates available to Joe Public, in which case we can all book seperately.

I've just asked them for a sample menu.

Any updates on Rotary club/Vr4 club etc. joining us?

As per Mustang - i think it'd be better to get our of the hotel and around the corner to the Pier Restaurant - I'm sure they could come up with a menu for 10-20 persons for around 25-30Euro.

absolutely, no harm in seeing what's on offer though. Turkey and ham doesn't really appeal here either.

Can we go ahead so and book the Merriman for the accomodation -we can sort out the meal later as it's less of a priority.
Group booking or individual (I think this would be better) booking?

Absolutely, we need to confirm on the karting ASAP too.

We'd need around 20 heads to make the karting worthwhile. mates, family, whatever.
