Can you help me with a few things?

Postby wolfy » Thu Mar 22, 2012 11:03 pm

Hi Guys

Bought my first ever FTO the other day and on the way home with it I noticed a few things that i must sought out on it.

1) There is a knock from the NSF when hitting a catseye/pothole which can be felt through the steering and according to my man measurements (fingers) the NSF sits slightly higher than the OSF. Seems to me like a strut problem, what do you reckon?

According to the previous owner it had new front recently as well new drop links all round, the rubber parts of the front drop links look like there split.

The front tyres are wearing on the outer edges.

2) NCT failure on imbalance of rear brakes (handbrake I Think) So I will try and fix that because I want it on the road ASAP! previose owner stated that it needs a new caliper OSR.

Any ideas lads and ladettes?

You should bring it somewhere to get aligned and tracked, they'll put it on the lift and be able to tell you what's wrong straight away.
