Question about exhaust emissions

Postby crayzidane » Mon Feb 25, 2008 6:34 pm

I am due NCT and when i had my car (gx) up on the ramp, noticed 2 lovely holes in my exhaust just after the cat section. :(

Now i was realy considering getting an aftermarket cat back system, was looking at the 5zigen one from Trojan.

My question is, will the aftermarket/performance exhaust pass the nct?
I have my car decatted but i still have the original cat at home
Thanks.

The Center section is a fairly common failure on the FTO - if there's a hole in the exhaust it will generally be there :-)

Quite a few of us have fitted after market xhaust and subsequently passed the NCT.. The Main bit is really that you remember to put your CAT back on before the test.. and of course give her a quick service (Plugs, Oil & Filters) alon with a good warm up prior to the test.
