ABS light NCT

If my ABS light is on but the brakes work fine ,Is it a fail in the NCT test

Doubtful. ABS isn't a requirement for the NCT.

Thanks if not I wont waste money sorting it out. Audi a6 98 so wont be cheap.
though just had the wife phone to say she thinks the cluch has gone.

take out the abs bulb, they will query it at the NCT centre.

Mighnt need ABS for the NCT but they will check for electrics working properly I'm sure and if the ABS light stays on it could cause them to check more thoroughly to look for the problem and find something to fail you on.

ABS is considered a safety feature in the car and therefore a warning light to indicate it is faulty will be an issue.
