Work emotion cr kai Wheels came back form the paint shop today. We had to adapt another hole on the wheels so we had to fill the base up with the same material and I think we did a pretty good job thing is we coudnt make the hole in between the sockets but for me they look marvelous :).

Eyebrows and Momo Mod 08 wheel have arrived will be on in a few days.

Thats it for today....Now I can say Im finished bringing stuff for my car. Everything is here or flying to Lima so the last treat for my car will be a paint job on parts not so well painted and we will reconstruct the front bumber maybe set up a nice lip on it and that will be it. I wont lighten so much the car yet I want to drive it for a while you know lol.

Regards to all,

Nooo... don't do it! :P Ah no, it only my opinion, but I think the 2 pods on top is one of the defining features of an FTO. Personally, I'd leave just 2 there and put more in either the pillar or in the lower console (pic below)

I like the way you have your starter motor wired inside the car in the passenger bay

Hi, we just sawed of some parts we could replace. The width was fine but we needed to make special bolts to fit perfectly and a lot of work of adapting the metal to the new surface. We did this in 3 days but I need the rails not to close to the steering wheel so we are doing it again monday and setting both seats together.

I cant wait but i wont rush the team because they are working a lot in this car. I just finished paying off everything I owed to the team and I am happy because now we just need to fine tune every details.
As soon its on wheels ill drive it slow for a while and then the dyno meter. I really dont need much power to have fun but Im curios and if I dont dyno it all FTO fans I know will spam me for the rest of my life so Dyno is a must.
I hope im showing results the 15 of september.

You guys have been lost for a while ?

Most FTOs that came to Ireland through the UK are de-restricted.
This, will de-restrict the car and convert it to MPH.
As far as I know there's nothing off the shelf you can but to de-restrict and keep it in KPH.

Hi What happens to the odometer it resets itself or it converts to miles all the kilometers?
How does the normal 180klm dial look if you convert to miles its accurate still?

The odometer stays as it was, it just starts to add in miles.
I'm not 100% about the speedo itself as I have aftermarket (MPH) dials fitted.

VIDEO: Image

We are having some problems When ever we get to 6.500 rpm theres a power cut. The only way to take it to 8.300 rpm is by accelerating slowly some times it doesnt do the trick this way. We are changing thermostat, we suspect this is the problem. I think the ecu some how thinks the engine is still cold thats why the cut. checking for all sensor and everything electrical relay was in bad shape so we are changing that tomorrow to. This happend when i revived the car to take it to the shop. Every time on this car back in the day never gave me this problem.
We changed ecus I Have an spare gpx 1995 manual ecu one that i bought on ebay along with the complete electrical system.
Image At least I know the other ecu works fine but the problem kept going. The lights flashing in the video means the alarm was on. we took of the system and still we kept on having the problem. If you have any ideas please let me know. I hope we solve this quick. We are installing the oil pressure gauge tommorrow to check on that but I think the problem is the thermostat.

Some good news the lip we made its looking pimp.

My first suggestion would be to do a diagnostic but I presume you've already done that?

We are moding the front strut bar because of the caster mod we did before so its doesnt fit because of the new angel...we will sort things out quick for this one too.

Incar bar

rear strut bar plus battery passed to the trunk.Image

Me made this braided hose for the oil pressure gauge.

New thermostat

New temp sensor should be here soon too.

The old FTO will be reborn with a lot of brand new components... the good things is that most parts are true JDM parts as well as tein,br1de,work...etc

The amount of work going into this FTO is astonishing, I take my hat off to you and the team who are undertaking the project. Its a sight to behold and just shows what can be achieved with a bit of inspiration and an alternative view towards problem solving.
