well ive put if off long enuf (since i registered teh can in jan!) ive decided i might a well put her thru.....

doubt she will fail i mean there are good tyres on it, its clean inside and out, the oil is clean the fluid levels are good....

it got servies there a few months back (but i do very little millage so she's still good for ages for a service) i had a steerlin rod link (or summit like that) changed and the blow in the exhaust welded.

car is drivin well so fingers crossed i pass!!! i know ive to do it all again in jan but sure best put her thru now... any big work need to be done ill hold off doin it till jan again! or ill do it dec and then not drive it and do it again in jan!!

im gettin my trackin done the day b4 the test nethin else i should do????

If you just registered it in January gone then you won't have to take the test again until January '09 if you pass, not next January!

Make sure you get your headlights aligned!

Best of luck with it.

Not necessarily. The NCT due date is based on the anniversary of the cars first registration date -new -in the original country of origin. The date on which you register a used import in Ireland has no bearing on the subsequent NCT due dates....

Regardless, her car is a '97 and it was registered here in '07 so either way there's no way it'll need an NCT in '08.
