Alloy reconditioning

Postby StewyD32 » Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:29 pm

Does anyone know where I can get my alloys reconditioned.
I want the scuffs fixed and a colour change on them

Tallaght Power Coating are well renowned, alternatively, do it yourself at home if you have the time and inclination, there are plenty of guides on the web (and one on here somewhere).

Got a great quote off these http://www.wefixalloywheels.com/

Job includes:
1. Completely strip wheels ie sandblast
2. Repair all kerbing and scratches
3. Repaint and lacquer
4. Rebalance
5. New valves
I'd rather be hated for what I am,
than loved for what Im not.

You'll be spending a lot of money to get a better set of rims than those Work RSR's - best to refurbish IMO.

I was meaning to post this ages ago.
I took a few photos before and after. The crowd I got them done with did a good job and was a great price. I can stick up their business card if im allowed if anyone is interested.
I went in between a matt and full gloss finish so its not too dull or shiny, which suits the car IMO.

Nice job - they look really well. Far nicer than anything you could buy off the shelf over here.

Yeah I'd say an extra 5 bhp per wheel. .
But really, the strips only cost 7 euro made up and delivered of eBay. A good 7 euro spent if you ask me

Thanks. I got them done for €280 from wheel wizards in jamestown industrial estate in finglas which is good. I was getting quotes between €350-€600.
they have the proper set up as well, so if your thinking about a referb I'd recommend them. I think their mobile as well

You're in good company with the strips....

Saw these today on a Bentley Continental GT

Inserted son for size comparison - these are 22s btw.
