This is starting to look like another culchie biased meet. Think you could round up a few more Dubs to even the score  :?:

CJ, have you been talking to him about doing a run with auto's? has he got it set up and accurate?

Martin mentioned that Autos can change up or down before peak power is reached - not so bad with tips but from memory my last FTO Tip changed up or down when I reached certain rev points on the dial even when I was in the "manual" mode. Still the at the wheels figures will be accurate regardless - if the Tip box is changing at a certain point on the rolling road then its also likely to change at the same point on tarmac.

...which reminds me, MfFTO, can you bring up that bootload of spuds were were discussing a while back?

Most Dubs go out strokin' and robbin' on Saturday, you can't expect us to change tradition for the sake of a dyno session!

If you bring the Scones you promised earlier - I'll bring the spuds - pull up beside me and we'll work out a deal.

The Limerick boys are takin the day off - so ye'll just have to row in with us - Henry street Garda station won't know how to occupy themselves with the FTO's out of the city.

I'm more concerned about being car-jacked by a group of Limerick shams, backup in the form of a convoy would be useful, nowah mean man, like.

@Ronanc - please check the batteries in your humour calculator.

I'm not actually from Limerick and I don't want to offend anyone on this forum who is. :|

Perhaps it time to change the direction this thread is heading in
Any chance of some directions to this place? Obviously we can all find our way to Enfield, but exactly where is this place?

Coming into Enfield from Dublin you continue straight through the town, past T-juntion with traffic lights (where there is a turn for Edenderry), take next right turn, then right again into small industrial estate -

or maybe you would be better off meeting up just after the roundabout as you enter Enfield from Dublin direction...

Kev, thought you were based in Cork. Sounds like it could be very confusing to find

Seriously though. Enfield is West of Dublin on the N4 main Dublin Sligo Rd.
Will you be travelling up from Cork that morning?.......quite a trek!

Heh, yup, I'm in Cork, but no idea where Enfield is, so directions from Dublin seemed like a good plan!

The plan is to come up from Cork that morning, bit of a journey alright but I'd like to get my GR on the rolling road, see what she can do, plus get a look at some of these other wheels, mods, etc. people have done. I'm going over to the United vs AC Milan game next week though, so I'll have to see how I survive that.

I'm guessing Enfield isn't far from Dublin, i.e. my best plan would be head for Dublin and then hang a left?

Yes! That being your plan of action. Get on to the M50 Northbound, and follow until the exit for Sligo N4.
I'll be heading 'cross country' from Monasterevin, the trip to Dublin seems to roundabout to me. Not sure what time I'm leaving at though.
Looks like CJ & Ronan are heading there for ~9.30am.
MyfeckinFTO (& crew) what time are you aiming to be there at?

Kev, FYI, the N4 bypasses the Liffey Valley shopping centre (remember we had a meal there after the RDS meet last year?). Its a straight road to Enfield from there on.

We'll be there for 0930 - I'll probably be hanging a left in Monasterevin as well Mustang. The plan is to go on to Dublin for the Ireland - England rugby match the following day.

I think its important we all roll up around 0930 - have some tea/coffee and CJ's scones - if we have 6-10 cars we will be out of there in a couple of hours.

€50 for the run and a chance to get to see the other forum members cars and gain some new ideas - well worth going.

Assuming you are heading up that direction Perhaps we could meet in the Portlaosie/ Monasterevin area :?: Early start from Limerick aswell :!:

Dave the route would be Monasterevin, Rathangan, Edenderry, Carbury, Enfield.

Good-good! Looking forward to seeing your car Dave.
I'll be coming from the Limerick direction and turning off at Monasterevin and heading cross country to Enfield (car will be filthy by the time I get there).

Just give me a bell when you're on your way Mustang.
You can clean the road for me on the way up - it'll be like "smokey & the bandit". I'll meet you pre Monasterevin if you like.
