oil spraying out of headgasket??? help

i 1st thought it was the valve cover gasket so replaced that and the cam caps, then degreased the area and reved the car from throttle body and oil is coming from where the head gasket is? now what do i do. considering taking whole engine out and replacing it with a mivec (mines a gr) what you reckon, how hard is it? or is there a easyfix for this gr. cheers

If you have a bit of time on your hands you could take the head off, might need skiming but sure could be just the gasket needing replacement.

Probably intending to forget to mention the change to insurance

Is it a big job swapping the engine? Lets assume one has a heist, like one of those they sell in Lidl every now and again. Would it be a massive job?

If someone had a perfect condition GR/GX, they might not want to buy a gpx and might want only the engine. Just curious, as my brother mentioned that he would love to put a gpx engine into his GR.
