Better bring the travel scrabble.

Met Eireann wrote:The weather will be very unsettled for the rest of the week, with relatively mild wet periods interspersed with cold showery conditions. Wednesday night and Thursday morning will bring spells of persistent and often heavy rain. Bright spells and blustery heavy showers will follow on Thursday afternoon. Very cold on Friday with further heavy showers, some of which may turn wintry. Similar unsettled weather expected for the weekend, with showers or longer spells of rain. It will be very windy up to and includeing the weekend. Winds mainly in the westerly sector, strong to gale force, sometimes with severe gusts.

I usually keep looking until I find a forecast that suits me. There are plenty of sites and they're all different. A wide variety of weathers to choose from.

Speaking of Travel Scrabble - This is Father Ted country - we could take a spin by Father Teds house on the way to West Clare - or maybe have a look at the Holy stone of Clonrickard- its mad fun here I tell ya!

Mustang wrote:Perhaps ye could meet the Cork crew in Limerick, and then on to Ennis -as the last pick up point. The One Mile Inn on the Lahinch road (just beside the Esso garage) might be suitable, for a stop -carpark isn't the best but should be empty that time of day. Last stop for petrol, coffee, etc....

.

Guys we need to finalise a place to meet. I propose the One mile in on the Lahinch road in Ennis. What time suits?

How's about 10.30-10.45-ish in Limerick, and however long it takes to get to Ennis after that?

That's fine, you need to specify a location in Limerick. Is the statoil on the Ennis rd ok? Or perhaps the carpark of the two mile inn on the Ennis Rd would be better? Colm can you text me when you're leaving Limerick? I'll meet ye at the one mile inn (not to be confused with the two mile inn!) on the lahinch Rd.

The petrol station on the Ennis Road in Limerick is fine. (That's the one that used to be Motorzone and Clareview Motors, right?)

The statoil is just before that. and just after Ivan's cross as you head out of town. Can't miss it. (The shop and pumps have been taken out of clareview motors the whole place is a forecourt now littered with cars, no room for parking).

Follow signposts from Cork road to Shannon and Ennis - this should bring you down the dock road and over the new bridge (across the shannon) -when you get to the Coonagh Roundabout (start of the Limerick - Shannon Dual Carriageway) bear round to the right of the roundabout and the petrol station will be a couple of hundred meters on the right hand side.

My telephone number is 087 273 7794 for anyone who needs to contact me for directions.

Don't forget ye're wet gear or theres no way ye'll be getting outa the cars.
