Come on guys - any advance on 6? - the weekend weather forecast is the best I've seen all year - sunny weather promised.
After the washout that was Japfest - heres your chance to catch some rays while taking a look at what is usually a very good show - and all for €10.

Plus a lot more of this -

(Shane, if I do come down, I'll bring those other bits)

bit of a crisis here today lads,,,,looks like i wont be able to get to limerick as my front brake caliper passenger side is leaking after i put new green stuff pads in, yes i know i changed brakes 3 weeks ago, but brother got me these, as i was gently pushing back piston in caliper and popped in new pads,,,all was well till i notied wet on inside of alloy few hours later, shagging things leaking at piston in caliper, have to meet ger in donabate in a day or two to get a donor caliper off his scraped fto :( so she's off the road for a few days and back to a mondeo :(

does anyone know if anyother caliper will fit, galant, colt, lancer, just asking as my local scrapyard has lots of mitsy's but no fto's

GS and GR caliper should fit your car no problem. Not sure about GX, may be slightly different.

Its a bad week for brake calipers, mines on its way out as well. Started getting a weird grinding noise from the front drivers side. Think the bottom piston is stuck pushing the pad in all the time. I'll try get a proper look at it tomorrow and get it sorted. Might be looking for a caliper myself if its not repairable.

caliper piston sticking........................ check alloy to see if its hot after a spin, good sign of brakes sticking.... :(

i was having that problem when i first got mine, alloy was red hot and other side normal tiny bit warm, think it was half seazed up and was holding the car without touching brakes, took it off and freed it out but now shes piddling from the piston ah the joy's of it :)

sorry....dont want to be changing topic from this tread but hopefully i'll have her sorted for sunday and down to limerick for the day 8)

Come on guys - last chance to get in there before I send on the final numbers to Sleek.
Sunday is promised to be a scorcher - this has allways been a good day when the weather has been good.
Just €10 for Show and Shine entry (+ three FTO's in the Show & Shine get in free).
We supported Japfest and they did us no favours on entrance fee - and we've allways had good numbers at the Sleek Show and they've allways gone out of their way to ensure we have a club stand space etc.

I'd be on for it but tbh ye'll be wrecked from the day - theres a lot of fun to be had though from an after show cruise down the dock road and into town for some grub (in Eddie Rockets or similar) espec with the amount of modified cars around from the show.
