Unfortunately when it comes to FTO's the money you put in to keep it in good nick will be worth it, but anything else is not really going to raise the price by much. Its only for your own enjoyment.

I'm not sure which is more ridiculous, the graphics which look like peeling paint, or the quick sale wanted combined with 10.5 k price tag. :smt017

Between this add and the one in the autotrader it seems that the most important information is missing (or have I just missed it?).
What model, engine, gearbox?

As per my previous post, what model, engine and gearbox? This will have the most bearing on the value of the car.
As a general rule I do not like to comment on for sale threads unless I have something positive to say. As I would not like someone Hijacking my thread (if I had one) saying the car is overpriced, old shed, crashed, etc. But in this case I will make an exception!
For me the mechanical condition is much more important than mods.
The graphics devalue the car (at least for 99% of the population).
The below assuming the body kit and mods are to the potential buyers tastes:
If it was a GS tip I'd say ~€5500 (bottom of the scale).
If it's a manual mivec ~€8000 (top of the scale). Maybe more if it was pmo, mint and you just loved those graphics :D

Holy s... Did you guys notice the prices on the other FTOs up for sale??

Let's say the Carlow one is a Manual GPX in PMO..then Compared to the others offered on Autotrader it does seem like a fair deal..

However... Personally..I wouldn't even view the car.. It's too"boy racer" for my taste...

.

Fair point but all the other cars are in the trade, newer and over priced (most of them at least). Based on those prices I guess I could see where he arrived at price..

Guys/Gals this car has been on the autotrader on August/September '05 and at that point he was looking for €12,500. It's an automatic and it's def not a gpx as I had a close look at it but cannot for the life of me remember what it is? The alloys are very neat and yes he has the interior looking sharp but the paintwork for me is a NO-NO. I personally would not buy it.
The owner is a decent bloke and was only too glad to help when I spoke to him. As near as I can make it there is not a Jap import that he has not owned at one point or another. I also believe his sister is a member of the forum
