Aston Martin brake setup - now finished :)

Postby markj113 » Mon Nov 30, 2009 8:19 pm

Dont post on here much usually just lurk in the background getting tech info.

Anyway just finished my Aston Martin brake setup on the FTO.

Calipers are off the new Aston Martin DBS (4 pot brembo's off the rear) and the discs are off a DB9 (330mm grooved and vented off the rear).

here's a pic of the finished product compared to GPx brakes -

And some pics of the custom brackets made by the Freak on the ftooc -

Braking feels so much stronger and pedal feel is great with the braided hoses so im one happy chappy :)

I've been following this on Mitsiclub, fantastic upgrade.
Not in the least bit jealous though...

thats a serious upgrade, difference must be immense, calipers and discs must be worth more than the car itself

That's awesome! top class!

Did you manufacture the brackets yourself?

Really nice job, what have you got on the front? I see you've gone with a set of RX-8 18's - any full car shots?

I wonder if those custom brackets made by Freaky parts also fit other aftermarket brake set-ups like brembos etc?
It'd be the first thing I'd want upgraded on an FTO if I was to go down that road again.

Cool looking brakes! Looks like you need to have some minor mod on the brackets to make it work on the car! Best looking break I've ever seen on a Mitsubishi
