whats the best and cheapest brake conversion to do on the fto

gto Calipers are a known upgrade for the fto. Reasonably priced too if you shop around

GTO rotors and nissan silvia s-14/15,z32 or r32 4 pot calipers,you will need custom brackets though... Thats the most common way to do it around here...

Considering the fact that you drive a GR , the easiest and straight forward conversion is the double pot caliper (gpx setup) , cheap and easy to install
I'm sure you can get a set from a local scrappy

i have a set of gpx calipers currently for sale but currently reserved of another owner. you can be next in line if he doesnt take them. also have braided brake hoses for non mivec. could do a deal for the lot

I have question about calipers for my FTO GR '95
If I will buy calipers from FTO GPX or from Mitsu GTO, then I'll need use some another discs and pads?? Or it has to be from the same car what calipers are ??
I heard also calipers for FTO gonna be the same as Mitsu Colt, Evo5 and some else - do You know something.
And one more, this is about all around calipers or just rear?? Cause I heard front calipers are diferent in FTO with mivec.

yea if you upgrade to the gpx breaks you will need gpx pads and discs. the calipers are not the same for the colt or evo 5 im afraid. rear breaks are the same in GR and GPX its just the front calipers that differ. GPX upgrade would be the way to go, you dont really need any more powerfull than that (its the upgrade i done)and with the money you save from not getting brackets made up you could get better pads they make all the difference

If you were going to spend the money and do it right by going for a GTO setup and refurb the callipers while your at it. I would get a willwood upgrade €570.
The reason I would overlook the GTO setup is they are a very heavy.
