ICE advice

Postby soc » Fri Jan 02, 2004 11:30 am

am thinking of investing in some proper ice (for first time ever) - anyone wanna recommend a setup (sub, amps speakers etc) - I'm not really keen on spending silly money (music just ain't that important to me) so budget buys would be good - I am looking for some serious bass though

If you're looking to do it on the cheap, I'd recommend buying it all off Ebay. Assuming you're head unit is half decent, pick yourself up a set of 50W RMS componant speakers for the front and a set of 50W 6x9s. You'll need a 4 channel amp thats capable of 50W per channel for these boys.

A 2 channel 200W amp and a similar speced 12" Sub should do the business as regards bass. Look out for names like Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio and Kicker.

(All wattage figures are in RMS, this is the value should be looking out for)
