Drivers side window

Postby WelshFTO » Fri Jun 29, 2012 10:35 pm

Hay Fellow celts, Hope your all doing well 8)

Just wondering how easy it was to change the drivers side window motor/regulator?

Just bought another FTO and the drivers side window doesn't go down and it doesn't lock via the key fob (have to do it with a key) :?

Just thinking weather its easyier to get a whole door and put it on or try and go down this route :D

Cheaper to get regulator sorted by mechanic I would say. Have the door card removed to save on labour.

It couldn't be that bad, Steelroe I think has a good write up on here.

I have just finished doing an Audi A4 and it was a little painful first time but I could probably do one in about an hour now. Took longer first time.

Sorry to be an idiot but what do I need to put in the search field to find Steelroe's write up re: sticking DD window? None of the obvious have worked for me, thanks
