Exhausts

Postby marty » Wed Nov 23, 2011 7:19 pm

Guys, my fto needs a new exhaust but they seem very hard to get hold of. Just wondering where anybody on here gets their exhausts and how much people are paying for them? Thanks

There used to be a few more but after checking, a lot of them seem to be gone.
Try these:

Get a blue flame. The sound alone made me buy the FTO I have now. . It's is sweet. Not too loud but still a good grunt off it.

That's good. I presume it's a double tip and not a quad. Especially when Marty is in England. The postage will be feck all compared to us bringing back here.

To be honest probably the cheapest, just want to get my fto bck on the road after 11 months! Would the blueflame exhaust on eBay fit a 1.8 gs, says it's from a mivec, would this make a difference?

I could be wrong here..But I think the flange is different - you could be in trouble when it comes to fitment.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MITSUBISHI-FT ... 19cb120f65

However as the "channel" under the car is the same a good (good and proper) exhaust fitter should be able to chop up your old system and use the fittings to weld on the new system.
If it's a case that the diameters are different they'll need to make a "reducer" for you.

The cost of this may outweigh the savings though..

There's a couple of custom places dotted around Ireland...

There's another place in Balbriggan, I forget the name..

Thanks for all the help guys, just order the circular twin exhaust from camskill. I'm not in England as someone mentioned, I'm in Belfast, but postage was still on £15, so fingers crossed it'll be here and on the car soon!
