Despite mulling over keeping the VR-4, I've decided to reduce the price further to 7250 euro in an effort to see if theres any interest in the market. Updated pics also added to first post.

Late last month, I noticed an oil leak under the car. On investigation, it turned out to be the torque convertor oil seal - a common Galant \ Legnum issue. Replacing the seal required the gearbox to come out of the car which resulted in a hefty labour bill (plus 120 euro for another fill of Amsoil ATF!). On the positive side, the car is running better than ever. The original seal was badly designed (lacking a metal collar), the replacement has the metal collar in place.

I've also thrown the standard pads in the bin for a set of Carbotech XP8 racing pads (160 euro a set, favoured by Evo owners). Braking performance has changed dramatically, the car stops so much quicker with the race compound.

Thats a huge amount of performance metal for the money - I'm not sure its even about the asking price CJ (which is too low IMO) - I imagine most regular Joe's just don't want to tax/insure/maintain a car like this or similar in the current market - its the same feeling I got while trying to sell the Zed before Christmas.

I hear ya MfFTO, I get the same feeling. Its the same with a lot of performance marques right now. All I can say is that you'll be very hard pushed to find a better quality VR-4 on sale in Ireland in terms of condition.

Well done... love the new motor! Looks familiarish to me :D
You did well to sell the VR4 in this climate despite the fact it was a cracker!
Will it surface now in a dealer for even less like our old GPX or was it a private PX?
