the petrol tank is pictured, under the scuttle panel.

Hit a problem, the injectors aren't getting earth. ECU is fine (checked it on my car) and car was running before transplant. ECU was removed for welding and put back in.

Any ideas on possible sensors to check would be welcome (crankshaft position sensor is a possibility?)

Turns out the fault was fairly simple.

Foam in the petrol tank was touching the fuel level sensor, which was telling the ECU that there was no more petrol, which was killing the injectors.

She's running now!

The exhaust position means it kinda affects the number plate. definite NCT failure :k

more pics, and maybe a vid of it in action (please god!) to follow!

It's only a bit louder than my FTO.

Well, a good bit louder. but not OTT! subtlety is the key...

Rear 1/4 panels being pushed out 4 inches to accommodate the wider rear track at the moment. Scrap the subtlety motif...

Subtlety is wasted on a project like this, was never gonna be a street sleeper was it ? or is this the desired final outcome?

Dont imagine that advertising board would offer much in the way of sound deadening. ear defenders a must

How about cutting a slot in it and covering with heavy duty perspex?

crazy stuff lads!

What are you planning on doing with the rear...in the current photos it looks a bit like one car sitting ontop of another..?

Fantastic sound - consider adding a flamer...please...
